Calculates how long it will take an average adult to read your text silently, based on a reading speed of 238 words per minute — the same benchmark used by Medium.

Estimates how long your text will take to deliver aloud at 130 words per minute, a natural conversational pace suitable for speeches, podcasts, and presentations.

Scores your text from 0 to 100. Higher scores mean easier reading — 60–70 is ideal for general audiences, while scores below 30 indicate academic or technical complexity.

Maps your text to a US school grade level. A score of 8 means the text is readable by an 8th grader. Most online content targets grades 6–8.

Estimates the years of formal education needed to understand your text on first reading. A score of 12 corresponds to a high-school graduate; below 8 is considered plain English.

Sentences between 20 and 30 words are highlighted in yellow, flagging them as candidates for editing. Long sentences are harder to follow and reduce readability.

Sentences over 30 words are highlighted in red. These almost always benefit from being split into two shorter sentences.

Detects passive voice constructions (e.g. "was written", "is being reviewed") and underlines them in blue so you can choose to rephrase them in active voice.

A compact bar below the editor shows the total count of long sentences, very long sentences, and passive voice instances — giving you a quick overview without scrolling.

Displays the top 5 most frequent meaningful words, excluding common stop words like "the", "and", and "is". Each keyword shows its raw count and its density as a percentage of all meaningful words.

A second tab shows the top 5 two-word phrases (bigrams) appearing in your text. Stop-word-only pairs are filtered out, so results surface genuinely meaningful phrase patterns.

One-click presets for Email Subject (60), TikTok Bio (80), Meta Description (160), Twitter / X (280), Pinterest (500), Instagram Caption (2,200), LinkedIn Post (3,000), and YouTube Description (5,000).

Activating a preset reveals a colour-coded progress bar showing how many characters you have used and how many remain. The bar turns red when you approach or exceed the limit.

Set a word count target — such as 500, 1,000, or 5,000 words — and a live progress bar tracks how far through your goal you are as you write.

The progress bar fills and turns green when you hit your target, giving you a satisfying visual confirmation that you have reached your word count goal.

Your text is automatically saved to your browser's local storage as you type. If you close the tab or refresh the page, your draft is restored so you never lose work.

Copies the entire contents of the editor to your clipboard in one click. The button label briefly changes to "Copied!" to confirm the action.
